First Blog Entry

There area lot of reasons I want to study Japanese. As a child I grew up watching countless anime series with my father. Even as I watched anime in high school, I wanted understand without the need of subtitles. The memories of watching anime with my dad are some of the happiest I remember from my childhood. That inspired my interest in Japanese. A lot my childhood heroes and idols spoke Japanese too because they were characters my favorite shows; naturally I wanted to be just like them. I've put of learning Japanese for a long time, claiming it was too hard to without a teacher, but now I have the opportunity to formally learn. So I guess no excuses now :P. Looking forward to finally learning Japanese!
